Coaching for Novelists

Writing a novel is hard. Finishing a first draft is even harder — especially when you’re working alone or second-guessing every decision. This isn’t a creative writing course, and I won’t tell you how to write your book, but I will help you get it written.

My experience

I’m a published author with Hodder & Stoughton, with a four-book crime/speculative series set in Lisbon. I’ve mentored creative and copywriting students, delivered workshops on agent submissions at the University of Greenwich, and currently run a structured 16-week beta course designed to help writers complete a full or skeleton draft of their novel.

What I’m offering

• 50-minute 1:1 Zoom sessions
• Feedback on up to 1000 words per session (submitted in advance)

These sessions offer accountability and structure to help you keep moving forward, a space to troubleshoot sticking points, support with developing your ideas and structure, and optional guidance on preparing agent submissions. They’re focused on helping you make meaningful progress — not just perfect pages.

Who is this for

– Writers working on their first novel draft
– Writers stuck mid-way who need external structure and feedback
– Writers who want to finish, not just talk about finishing

Pricing

£90 – First session (50 minutes)
£80 – Returning clients
£225 – 3-session package (valid for 3 months from first session)
